The PhotoNewZealand International Collection offers both rights managed/traditional licensed images and royalty free images.
'Royalty Free' means you only pay one fee for an image and can generally use the image as much as you want (there are some restrictions - see the End User License Agreements in our Terms and Conditions section). Royalty Free prices range from NZ$99 - $650 for individual images and from NZ$600 - NZ$1100 for CD collections.
'Rights Managed' means we know where all our images are being used at all times and we can tell you where an image has been used in the past so that you don't end up using an image that a competitor of yours may have used before. We can also offer you exclusive use of an image (fees apply) so that you have the peace of mind knowing that the same image won't be used by a competitor or by another company where their use of that image might cause embarassment to you/your company (think sensitive medical issues for example).
The process to obtain a firm quote for Rights Managed images is to add images to your lightbox (once you have registered/logged in) and then select images in your lightbox and click on the Add to Shopping Cart Link. Then, from your shopping cart, click on the Price Quote link enter as many details as possible about your intended use of the image(s) and click Send. Our staff will respond to you quickly with a quote via email.
Prices may vary due to one or more of the following factors:
- Duration of image use
- Geographic use of image
- Uniqueness of image
- Degree of difficulty of creating image
- Multiple uses of the same image

We are pleased to be able to offer the following discounts which may be available to you. Please note that discounts are generally only available for rights managed images and not for royalty free images.

If you license a number of images from us within the same order, we are able to provide the following volume discounts:

Regular Business
If you plan to use our services regularly we will be happy to set up a credit account for you and supply you with a customised (and discounted!) rate card for your business. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Government Departments/Non Profit Organisations/Education Institutions
If you (or your client, in the case of an advertising agency, designer, etc) fall into one of the above categories, we will be happy to provide a 20% discount.
Tourism Industry Association of New Zealand (TIANZ) Member
If you are a current and paid up member of TIANZ we can offer you a discount of 20%. Please quote your membership number at the time of ordering. We may require you to fax a copy of your current membership card to validate your discount.
License Renewals/Extensions
If you renew a current license to continue to use images for an additional period then a discount to the original license fee will apply, up to 25%.

Other discounts may apply. Please contact us to discuss or enquire when you place your request for quote.
Please Note
The discounts outlined above cannot be combined. We are happy to discuss with you the discount rate that could be applicable to you.
GENERAL NOTES ON PRICING
- All prices are quoted in New Zealand dollars and exclude GST (12.5%) which is charged to New Zealand resident clients only.
- Prices include up to an A3 (297mmx420mm) @ 300dpi digital file/scan. Larger files/scans can be provided and additional fees may apply.
- Prices above are generally for a 12 months license period. Prices will vary according to the exact period you require.
- Exclusive use can be requested for most rights managed images and fees apply depending upon extent (industry and territory) and duration of exclusivity required.
